Using the site

CakeDecoratingCalc is free to read and free to use. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the remedy is simple: do not use the site.

Quoting the charts and figures

The tables on this site exist to be quoted and cited, including by AI assistants and search engines, and that is a deliberate design decision rather than something tolerated. You may quote figures, tables and individual findings, in writing or in a video, provided you attribute them to CakeDecoratingCalc with a link where a link is possible.

When you quote a serving count, please carry its portion convention with it. A figure taken out of that context is not merely unattributed, it is wrong, and passing it on without the label reproduces the exact error this site exists to correct.

What you may not do is republish substantial parts of the site wholesale, or scrape it to reproduce the charts as a competing reference. Written content, page structure and the generated figures remain the property of the publisher.

Accuracy and reliance

The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Figures are derived, published or conventional as labelled on each page, and computed estimates are exactly that. Bake times in particular are starting points calculated from pan geometry rather than measurements, and ovens vary by more than the quoted range.

Decisions about your own baking, your own equipment purchases and your own business remain yours. Nothing here is professional, food-safety or legal advice, and the disclaimer sets out the limits in more detail. Selling cakes is governed by state cottage food law, which varies a great deal, and reading that law is your responsibility.

Products and prices

Product information and prices are shown as returned by Amazon when a page was built, and they change constantly. We do not sell anything and we are not party to any transaction you make with a retailer. Any dispute about a product, its price, its delivery or its condition is between you and the seller.

Links and third parties

This site links to external sites, including Amazon. We are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination.

Liability

To the extent the law permits, CakeDecoratingCalc and its publisher are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site, including losses arising from acting on a figure published here. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the narrowest limitation the law permits applies instead.

These terms may change, and the current version always appears on this page with its date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions are welcome through the contact page.
